-GENERAL-

Does the Chibi Room cost anything?

The room is free to anyone with an OMG!con badge. Children under the age of 12 get in free with a paid adult badge. Two children allowed per badge.

What ages is this play area designed for?

The Chibi Room is open to all ages, but it is geared towards children aged 9 and under.

Are there designated areas for age groups?

We are working to make a designated area for babies this year that will allow them to have tummy time and crawl about without any fear of older kids accidentally playing too close.

What type of flooring is used?

We have play safe foam flooring tiles down in areas to help protect little ones.

-SAFETY & SUPERVISION-

Will the staff watch/babysit my kids?

The Chibi Room is not a daycare. The staff are there to run programming and ensure safety protocols are being followed.
Children are to be supervised by their respective adult guardian at all times during the convention.

Are there safety rules for the play area?

No running, No pushing,
Share toys and craft supplies.

What should I do if I see a safety concern or potential hazard?

Please report any concerns to the Staff or Volunteers in the Chibi Room.

Will staff monitor the play area?
Yes, there will always be at least one staff or volunteer in the room at all times.

‍-Food and Drink-

Closed drinks are allowed as well as small snacks. We have a screened off area for breastfeeding as well.

Do you have any designated eating areas?

Not in the Chibi Room but there is one on the first floor of the convention center.

Does the convention center allow food or beverage from outside? (I.E. Fast Food?)

No, the convention center does not allow outside food or drink at this time.

-‍Cleaning and Hygiene-

Is the play area cleaned and sanitized?

The area is routinely cleaned and sanitized during slower traffic times. A thorough cleaning is done at the end of the day. We ask attendees help maintain cleanliness by throwing away any trash and tidying any messes they may have made.

‍-Emergency Procedures-

What safety precautions are you taking?

We do require that all attendees of the Chibi Room first stop at the Check In/Out desk as they enter the room. A Staff/Volunteer member will collect some general information from you (your name, child's name, phone number, etc.). At least one adult guardian is to remain with their child at all times. Before leaving the room we also require that you return to the Check In/Out desk to be properly checked out.

What if there is a medical emergency?

Alert the Staff/Volunteer in the room. We will contact our Public Safety Team to assess the situation and call emergency services.

Where is the nearest first aid station?

First Aid is available at the front desk located in the convention center’s lobby. Bandages for minor scrapes are available at the Chibi Room Check In/Out table.
